I’m excited to be visiting two Chicago churches in October to talk about Sacred Signposts: Words, Water, and Other Acts of Resistance.
First up will be Augustana Lutheran Church and Lutheran Campus Ministry in Hyde Park, a place that’s very important to me. The Wednesday night services in Lent brought me to worship for good, and the campus ministry gave me a community that made church real to me. I’m speaking to their Adult Forum on Sunday, October 7 at 9:30 a.m.
Then I’ll be at Irving Park Lutheran Church on Sunday, October 21, speaking to their Bible study at 9:15 and preaching in their service at 10:30 a.m. Their pastor, the Rev. Erin Bouman, is an admired friend of many years and the church is reading my book together, which is delightful.
I’ll be selling and signing books on both dates. Stop by and say hello.
